In the past decade, Prettys has grown rapidly and substantially to become a leader in the fields of commercial and personal law with wide-ranging experience acting on behalf of both UK and non-UK clients.

After a decade of significant expansion the firm now employs more than 120 staff - 15 Partners, 2 Directors, 11 Associates, approximately 30 other legal professionals and over 60 Support Staff.

Founded in 1906 through a partnership of Bernard Pretty and Arthur Leighton, today the firm is renowned for its extensive range of services, an ample share of which covers the needs of new and established businesses. These clients enjoy the benefits of timely and cost-effective attention to their legal requirements.

With our pre-eminent position in the East Anglia business community and beyond, Prettys maintains strong practices in all areas of business law.

The firm's personal law practice serves clients in agriculture, financial services, French property, residential property, professional negligence, wills and probate.

Prettys' teams of specialist insurance lawyers provide a comprehensive range of insurance law services. These range from complex group actions to routine recovery claims and include advice on policy wording, coverage disputes, contribution proceedings and insolvency.

We have been awarded the Law Society's prestigious Lexcel quality mark for our commitment to providing effective practice management and excellent client care. The office provides facilities for visitors with disabilities.
