Peter Blake - Partner

Peter qualified as a solicitor and joined Prettys in 1987. He qualified as a mediator in 2005. Peter is a dispute resolution partner and is responsible for the construction team.

Peter has practised in the field of commercial dispute resolution since 1987. He has acted for clients involved in a variety of industries both nationally and internationally. Peter's most recent experience is in construction law, alternative dispute resolution and cases with an international element.

Peter is a member of the Forum for the Built Environment, Treasurer and Vice Chair of the East Anglia branch. He also acts as contact partner for the National Federation of Builders and is active within Working Well Together (East Anglia branch) and other construction industry initiatives. He speaks regularly to construction industry groupings.

Peter’s recent instructions include:

representing the claimant in an I.C.C. arbitration of issuing arising in connection with a “Build Operate and Own” privatisation project;
a series of disputes concerning time and money arising from a project in the education sector;
there were a series of adjudications of disputes at different levels of the supply chain;
a high value final account dispute arising from the construction of a sports facility; and
dealing with the construction aspects of a high profile development of a dance house facility.
