Roland Sharp - Partner

Roland joined Prettys in 1991 from a leading city law firm. He has practised as a commercial lawyer since qualifying as a solicitor in 1986. He is now head of Prettys' substantial Dispute Resolution team.

Roland acts for clients involved in a variety of industries, nationally and internationally, in relation to a wide range of disputes. He has taken two reported cases to the Court of Appeal.

Roland’s recent cases include:

• A £5 million shareholder dispute;
• A £1 million warranty claim;
• An injunction freezing the assets of a financial broker;
• Four professional negligence claims, two for more than £1 million;
• A £1 million defamation / malicious falsehood claim; and
• A variety of intellectual property claims.
