The Corporate Services team has a great deal of experience in the full spectrum of company law and is able to advise on a whole range of corporate transactions, including share issues, transfers and buy-backs, alterations to share capital, shareholder agreements, dividends, appointment and resignation of directors, conduct of board and shareholder meetings and amendments to a company’s constitution.
We offer a fast and efficient fixed-fee service for setting up tailored or ‘off-the-shelf’ companies and LLPs, whether to run a new business or in order to take over an existing one.
We also provide company secretarial and corporate governance advice to directors and shareholders, and in particular advice on the changes introduced by the Companies Act 2006.
Our clients range from small companies to large multinationals and are involved in many different sectors. Our breadth and depth of experience enables us to quickly identify our clients’ aims and what is needed to put them into effect.
What they say about us
Quoted from Chambers and Partners UK 2011
This established corporate practice represents both private and public companies in a variety of corporate finance transactions. Head of the team Keith Vincent is "a deal maker as much as a lawyer, with a hands-on approach and an excellent understanding of his clients' concerns," sources enthuse. He recently acted for Fork Rent in relation to the purchase of its own shares. Ian Waine is "a trusted adviser" to many clients, including Maritime Group and Care UK.

Keith Vincent's team at Prettys retains strong ties with the business community in Ipswich and beyond. Ian Waine advised on commercial contracts in primary healthcare, and represented Maritime Group on the acquisition of DHL Container Logistics.
