Ian Seeley

Ian Seeley

Ian studied at Nottingham University and the College of Law, London, before qualifying as a solicitor in 1996. He worked in-house for a police force and two local authorities before joining Prettys in 2007. He was made an associate in 2008.

Ian represents businesses, public sector bodies and individuals in a myriad of contentious matters, including contract disputes; possession claims; and tortious claims.

Ian also represents business and local authorities in all aspects of alcohol, regulated entertainment, late night refreshment and taxi / private hire licensing law, including applications for premises licences. Ian is a former licensing law contributor to Paterson’s Licensing Acts and Stone’s Justices Manual.

Ian is an experienced advocate and regularly represents clients in a range of court proceedings, including criminal and civil matters. Ian holds higher rights of audience for all civil proceedings.
