Odyssey News - November 2017

November 2017

Welcome

to the latest edition of our Odyssey newsletter. Odyssey is our members club for clients and we hope this newsletter will help you keep up to date with developments in the law which may be of interest to you personally.

This edition we bring you an update on the new HMRC online reporting regulations for Trusts.  The deadline for registration is fast approaching and our estates team have now written to all clients where online registration will be required.  If you have received a letter from us with a request for information, please return your forms as soon as possible.  Alternatively if you have a trust and want to know whether it is caught by the regulations please contact us on 01473 232121 and ask to speak to a member of our Estates team.

Our guest contribution comes from Jacqui Martin at Cardinal Healthcare on considerations to keep in mind when planning for future care needs and choosing the right care provider.

We have also included information from Mike Large on ground rent issues and interesting article from Matt Clemence in our family team on mediation as an alternative to litigation in divorce proceedings.

As ever if there are any subjects you feel would be of interest and would like to see included in the Odyssey newletter, please contact me on lparker@prettys.co.uk.

It may be a little early for Christmas wishes but all at Prettys wish you a happy and healthy festive season ahead!
