Michael Freebury

Michael is a Solicitor in Prettys Personal Injury/Insurance department based in Ipswich. He trained with a high street practice in West Yorkshire and gained experience in a wide range of civil litigation matters including Breach of Contract, Professional Negligence and Landlord and Tenant before qualifying in 2009. Since then Michael has specialised in Personal Injury litigation and worked for some of the largest Personal Injury and Commercial firms both in Yorkshire and the South before joining Prettys.

Michael handles a wide range of Personal Injury claims, relating to Road Traffic accidents, Public Liability, Occupiers' Liability and Employer's Liability.

He has dealt with a number of complex and often high value cases, as well as claims pursued in niche areas such as Defective Product claims, Property Disrepair claims, Holiday claims and Criminal Injuries Compensation Claims.

Louise Plant

Louise is an Associate in Prettys Personal Injury and Insurance Services Department based in Ipswich. She qualified in 2003 and since then has specialised in personal injury litigation.

She handles a wide range of personal injury and some non personal injury claims, relating to road traffic accidents, public liability, occupiers' liability, employer's liability and some disease / occupational health cases.

Louise acts for both private individuals and companies either bringing or defending personal injury claims.

She has dealt with a number of complex and often high value cases including Animals Act matters, road traffic accidents, occupiers liability claims pursuant to both the 1957 and 1984 Acts, accidents at sea involving ship owner’s clubs, claims involving multi-party and contractual / sub-contractor issues, as well as claims involving Highways Authorities and Utilities providers working on the highways and on private property.

Background

Francesca became a member of Cilex Law School in 2014 and is currently studying towards her qualification as a Legal Executive.

Francesca joined Prettys in 2015 as a Litigation Executive in the Insurance department for Personal Injury, after two years in a regional law firm dealing with claims for Uninsured Losses resulting from Road Traffic Accidents.

Expertise

Francesca advises clients on all aspects of Personal Injury Claims mainly arising from Road Traffic Accidents including liability disputes, mitigation of losses and settlement awards. Her cases range from minor whiplash injuries to injuries involving surgical procedures.

Francesca also advises on cases involving injury to infants and the settlement process of infant claims.

She has particular interest in cases involving liability disputes.

Jade Boyle

Jade joined Prettys in 2015 as a Litigation Executive in the Insurance Department after 7 years at a regional law firm where she handled claims for uninsured losses resulting from road traffic accidents and more recently worked with clients with brain injuries in a Court of Protection team. Jade also has experience in defending personal injury claims at a firm in the region.

Jade is currently studying with Cilex Law School and is an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.

Jade has experience in a variety of road traffic related personal injury matters, varying from general whiplash claims to more complex orthopaedic injuries and injuries to infants.
