In response to the growing demands of the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) coming into force in May, law firm Prettys has established a team of experts to help prepare businesses for the changes.

The new team will be headed up by partner Matthew Cole with additional support from Kelly Sayers, Vanessa Bell, Dan Bilson and Michael Booth. The team already has extensive experience on advising organisations on getting ready for GDPR.

The new GDPR team will go beyond helping clients ensure they comply with the Regulation and offer industry specific guidance on a range of data protection issues including protecting confidential information and responding to a freedom of information request, as well as managing the consequences of a data breach.

Matthew Cole commented; “We understand the needs and requirements of our clients and by creating a specialist team, we can offer the right level of expertise and support for a range of issues associated with the forthcoming GDPR.”

The team are running dedicated workshops and GDPR seminars at its Business Academy events as well as bespoke training sessions to provide clients with knowledge to prepare for the introduction of the new legislation.
