Prettys, the sole UK representative of Galexy, the international association of lawyers, will be attending the organisation’s 25th AGM in Stockholm this week.

Galexy brings together 19 like-minded law firms from across Europe, US, Turkey and Israel to offer support for a variety of cross-border and international legal issues. As members of Galexy, Prettys is able to provide its own clients with a reliable and cost effective solution for legal matters outside the UK.

Peter Blake, Head of dispute resolution and representative at Galexy said, “It is a pleasure to attend the 25th annual conference for Galexy. The relationships across the Galexy network are very strong and mean we can offer our clients access to a reliable network of firms to represent both their business and personal interests overseas.

“It is likely that many of our colleagues at Galexy will be interested in the possible repercussions of Brexit on their own clients and we will use the opportunity to offer them an update on the facts and implications of the UK leaving the EU as it currently stands.”

The annual conference provides an opportunity for each law firm to present an overview of the key legal issues in their market such as overseas investment or property deals. In addition, the networking element of the conference enables relationships to build and grow for the future.

Prettys solicitors, which has offices in Ipswich and Chelmsford, has been a member of Galexy for over 20 years and is able to offer advice and assistance in an international context  in relation to corporate transactions, shipping logistics and international trade, dispute resolution, employment, real estate including construction ,family law, estates and tax.
