I qualified with a firm of solicitors with offices in London and East Anglia. I joined Prettys on qualification as a solicitor in 2002. I became a Partner in 2008 and Head of Employment Services in 2011. I retired from the Partnership in March 2019 and now work as a Consultant.

I advise clients on the full range of HR and employment related issues including managing difficult employees, defending complex Employment Tribunal claims, advising on redundancy and restructuring exercises, and advising on the employment aspects of corporate transactions. I also advise on polices and procedures and undertake training to manager, HR teams and directors on a range of employment subjects.

Over the years I have developed a particular expertise advising Church of England Dioceses on a range of HR and clergy related matters. I am also very experienced in conducting complex investigations as well as grievance and disciplinary hearings.

I work for organisations across a variety of sectors including healthcare, logistics, leisure, construction, engineering, manufacturing, financial services and energy. My clients include large multinationals, NHS Trusts, local authorities and charities as well as family owned businesses and start-ups.

My recent work includes:
