We are delighted to announce the appointment of two new partners, Emma Loveday-Hill and Dan Billson, with effect from 1 April 2022.  Both are home-grown talent and now advise a wide range of local and national businesses.  Dan joined the firm as a trainee in 2010 and Emma as a newly qualified solicitor in 2012.

Promoted to partners Dan Billson and Emma Loveday-Hill with COO Lynn Macdonald

Dan specialises in corporate law, including management buyouts, and during the pandemic was shortlisted for ‘Emerging Dealmaker of the Year’ at the East of England Insider Dealmaker Awards. He also has a niche in Sports Law, effectively combining his passion with his profession.  He is a trustee of Ipswich-based charity ActivLives.

Emma’s legal expertise brings together a detailed but practical knowledge of employment law with a really strong niche practice in data protection law and its implications and applications for businesses.  In this guise she is a Certified Information Privacy Manager and a Certified Information Privacy Professional.

Lynn MacDonald, Prettys COO, comments: “As a firm we are strongly committed to developing our people and giving them every possible opportunity to shine. It is incredibly rewarding when we are able to give young solicitors the chance to develop their careers in a very individual way and they then go on to be leaders of our business.  Dan and Emma are a major asset to Prettys and we are delighted that they have joined the partnership.”
