Throughout January 2019, Prettys supported Nicole Crown, the personal assistant to our CEO, who took part in ‘RED January’ to raise money for Suffolk Mind. “Suffolk Mind aim to make Suffolk the best place in the world for talking about and taking care of mental health. Suffolk Mind works across the continuum, from wellbeing to severe and enduring mental ill-health, providing support & information for everyone” (Suffolk Mind).
‘RED January’ is a community initiative that encourages individuals to do some form of active task every single day in January in an attempt to encourage people to support their mental health. January is characteristically a tough month for many people and RED January is intended to empower people to start the year as they intend to continue.
Alongside Nicole doing some form of physical activity every day (including activities that she has never done before), Prettys staff contributed to her fundraising efforts by taking part in a dress down day (wearing the colour red) and holding a red-themed bake sale. In total, Nicole raised an amazing £702 for Suffolk Mind.
