Daniel is a Partner in Prettys' Corporate Services department.

Daniel is an expert in corporate and commercial law and advises business owners on a wide variety of corporate matters.

He advises on areas including company incorporations, share and asset corporate transactions and management buyouts.

He also reviews, advises and negotiates on a wide variety of commercial agreements.

Daniel also works for banks on secured lending matters, as well as advising on national and international intellectual property registrations and infringement.

His recent work includes acting for a leading firm in the specialist professional services and technology sector on the acquisition of a forensic investigations business and a motor engineering solutions provider.

On the global stage, he has also worked with a UK distributor of an international brand on various contracts.

These included a licence with an international Olympic association to create a range of products for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

Further work includes acting for and advising an international food restaurant business on supply agreements and advising an energy consulting and engineering company in relation to a corporate group restructure.

Daniel joined Prettys as a trainee solicitor in September 2010, qualifying as a solicitor and joining the Corporate Services department in September 2012. He was promoted to Associate in October 2017 and Senior Associate in May 2020 and in April 2022 he was promoted to Partner.

Daniel was shortlisted for Emerging Dealmaker of the Year at the Central and East of England Insider Dealmaker Awards 2020.

Personal Synopsis

Daniel is a keen sportsman and in his spare time enjoys playing golf, football and snooker.

Elsewhere, he also enjoys walking the Suffolk countryside with his family.

Daniel became a trustee of ActivLives in March 2021.

This progressive, independent charity helps people across Ipswich and Suffolk keep active and connected with their local community. The charity uses accessible sports and exercise to help teach people new skills and offer volunteering opportunities.
